Baker’s Falls

Refreshingly beautiful.

Situated within Horton Plains National Park, a mountainous cloud forest region in Sri Lanka, Baker’s Falls is a refreshing rest stop enroute to World’s End, along the World’s End loop trail. The series of mini waterfalls are small but beautiful, and were named after Sir Samuel Baker, the infamous British explorer and big game hunter. Copious giant ferns (Rhododendron and Fern) surround the waterfall, adding to the tranquil beauty of the area.

Forming part of the Belihul Oya, Baker’s Falls is ideal for families and nature lovers alike, and offers a peaceful sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Enjoy a leisurely stroll along the path to the falls, and soak in the cooling spray off the falls as you take pictures of the surrounding natural landscape in all its splendid glory.
