Camping World Stadium

The home of sporting legends.

This place is the grandfather of all sporting venues in Orlando. First constructed in 1936, it’s enjoyed a star-studded history and undergone many changes. If you want to experience a little bit of American football, this is the best place to catch a game. To date it has a seating capacity of more than 60,000 people, and is still going strong. Its generous spectator stands curve up towards the sides, creating a huge, arena-like atmosphere that is filled with hype on game day. Looking at this impressive structure now, it’s hard to believe that it started off as a modest 10,000 seater hosting college football. It has gone through a good deal of upheaval over the years, discarding names such as the Orlando Stadium, the Florida Citrus Bowl and the Tangerine Bowl to arrive at its current moniker. It’s also seen its fair share of glitzy events: from being one of the nine venues used in a FIFA World Cup, to hosting big names in music such as Guns’n’Roses, Billy Joel, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stone, Elton John and more. Today, you can come here to watch some classic American football or just admire its modern coliseum-like feel. Either way, it’s a must see if you’re visiting Orlando.

Tips Before You Go
Do be careful if you are intending to drive to the area yourself as there is not much security for your car in the surrounding parking spaces. Check the events calendar on their website for upcoming events if you are interested in catching a game or a concert, or so that you know when to avoid the stadium if you are just looking for a normal tour.
