Replacing the old Inönü Stadi, the Besiktas Vodafone Arena Stadium is the home stadium for Beşiktaş J.K. Football Team, more commonly known as just Beşiktaş. The old stadium had undergone several renovations but was still considered to lack modern amenities, hence the call for a new one, whi relatively new, ch opened in April 2016 after a quick three years of construction. The very first match at the stadium was played just one day after its opening, and the team won 3-2 against its opponent, Bursaspor. (intended to be the next paragraph.
