This magnificent recreational park is open all year round (except for Christmas day), and is wheelchair accessible too. This is a veritable paradise for bird watchers, with the jarrah-marri forest, Stinton Creek and lawn areas. So spend the day observing the Red-winged Fairy-wren - which is only found in southwest Western Australia, or maybe try spotting the Australian White Ibis in the Araluen Botanic Park. Tips Before You Go
It can get rather cold here, so try to put on a few more layers if you plan on visiting during the colder months of the year. Food can be purchased from the vendors or restaurant in the park, but prices are a little steep.
