Busan Songdo Beach (부산 송도해수욕장)

Korea’s first official beach.

Just 3 kilometres away from downtown Busan lies the Songdo Beach, a popular escape from the second largest city in South Korea for locals and visitors. First opened in 1913, it was reconstructed and subsequently reopened in 2015 after being damaged by hurricanes and sand loss. The beach plays hosts to the popular Busan Sea Festival and the Hyeonin Singing Festival annually.

Visitors should not miss the Songdo Beach Skywalk, a 365-metre long promenade that extends out to the edge of the beach. The skywalk gives a picturesque view of Songdo Beach, along with the city skyline in the background. Because Songdo Beach gives off a romantic vibe during the night, with its spectacular views beyond the horizon, you and your significant other will love taking in a slow stroll here, perhaps picking up a seashell or two. Enjoy grabbing a bite at one of the nearby restaurants, and appreciate the view at this beautiful beach.
